Having a woman to love in your life is often the happiest thing you can have in your years on this planet, but sometimes, you might wind up with a spouse that wants to drag you to yoga class with her. You might protest and complain and initially refuse, and she might counter with something yoga-speak like how pointless and counterproductive resistance is. If you want to blow her mind and silence her, throw her a curve-ball and go with her once in a while.
A good yoga class is something that you can probably enjoy just for yourself, and while you might be outnumbered by the women, there are likely to be a few other men in there. Of course this can be a slight trap, as flexible yoga beauties can be eye candy to a man.
Just remember that no one comes to yoga to be objectified, and yoga classes are supposed to be nonjudgmental affairs, so keep your eyes to yourself and your spouse. Doing this can make her trust you more than she already does, and that’s an additional benefit to the fact you decided to join her already!
Whether or not you continue to go to yoga classes with her is up to you. There can be an argument made for not committing to something regular, as she might start pressuring you for more. However, if you go a few times a month at random intervals and make an effort to be a good sport without complaint, your significant other is likely to be so grateful and appreciative that she might lay off you about doing it more. You might even get her to go to somethings that you love that she does not care for, but do not expect such reciprocation unless that is standard for your relationship.
One thing that might make you more comfortable going to a yoga class with your significant other is to look over the schedule of the studio she attends. Most studios are going to have mostly women teachers, more often than not, but there are likely to be a few guy teachers. Try to compromise with her and go together to one of those. There is nothing wrong with admitting you might be more comfortable with a teacher of your own gender for your first time out. Yoga is just not for women – it has been known to benefit men just a well. So go have fun, and remember to drink plenty of water.
